Hello from Emma

Welcome to Academic Reading and Writing Level 1 Green everyone!

I hope that you will enjoy the course and that you will get lots out of it. It's very important that you put a lot into the course for it to be a success. Therefore, make sure you do your homework. The more you put into the course, the more you will get out of it!

I have been in Malaysia for 13 years and have been teaching for 6 years. I love teaching and meeting students from lots of different countries. I'm married with 3 children aged 11, 9 and 7. I like reading and we like to have family bike rides together.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

  6. Dear Emma
Hopping your are doing well. Actually, the kind of defects in my English skills are represented by inability to make ideas about main topic and how I connect them with each other. Also I have some defects in spelling ,use of articles ,and so much missing of vocabulary.Do you know,I had retained back to primary school,I would have studied harder the English lessons which I took it .I appreciate your care and attention for us and I hope to do the best for us as you can.
    Thanks so much

    Best Regards

I hope we can help too. I'll give you a list of websites that you can use to help with vocabulary at home. You can try getting a medical dictionary, I've spotted some on Amazon's site but I'm not sure if they have them at Kinokuniya at KLCC.

I haven't noticed that your spelling is especially a problem.

The good thing about articles is that they are usually not very important and native speakers are normally forgiving if you leave them out by mistake.

On ideas and organising them, we cover this a lot more in Level 2 of Academic Reading and Writing.

See you in class on Wednesday!
