Stamps

This is a third article I read and I enjoyed with read its.

I found this article very interesting because it talked about history of stamps and in past I did't know about the stamps history but now I know everything about the stamps, but I have one question I don't know its answer, that why the people use the stamps?

It talked about what kind of the stamps' shapes in past.

The first stamp didn't appear until 1840 and it cost just one penny. The first country used the stamps was England in 1840 and Brazil in 1843 ,...

In 4000 years ago very few people could write, so there were special people called scribes, who wrote letter for everyone else.

I think a lot of people aren't using the stamps because in this time or in this period have a good change about the technology , It make a new things like: mobile phone , internet, compute etc.The people can use the email or mail , sms for send their letters for everyone in everywhere of the world, but I think just the transport companies, public institutions like: in curt etc, and use the stamps to send by post office for another where.In my life I never didn't use the stamps because I didn't have any letter to send for anybody, but now I'm using the internet and email for send my notes and letters for my friends and my family.
